"I'm just too tired for sex"...
Sound familiar? Today's lifestyle is so demanding. If you're even remotely like the majority of individuals holding down a full time job, maybe looking after the kids at the same time, or taking care of the kids full time, or in some cases even more difficult scenario's, then there are plenty of times when you finally get to that time of the evening when you actually get 5 minutes to yourself or your partner, and you're too exhausted to even consider having sex. Just the thought of it can seem like too much effort. So in many cases you both just fall into bed and are asleep before your heads hit the pillow. And fatigue is just one factor contributing to a road block in many sex lives. What you need to understand first is that you are not alone.
Many factors can contribute to a lack of desire. Things such as prescription drugs, age (declining testosterone), pollution, and lack of time are just a few that I can think of off the top of my head but I'm sure many of you could write and tell me MANY more. The problem is when your desire starts to decline if your communication with your partner is lacking it can cause further problems with your relationship. Your partner may feel as though you just don't desire THEM. Or worse that you're having an affair and are getting it somewhere else. And trying to explain to a partner who just doesn't understand is very difficult and in turn, makes YOU think there's something wrong with you.
If all this sounds even remotely familiar I am here to tell you...
THERE IS HOPE!
There is a new herb, okay well it's not new it's actually over 2000 years old, but it's just now creating huge market demand. Why? This little Peruvian radish like herb is known as a powerful, strength, libido, and stamina enhancer. The name of this little herb is Maca. And we are going to predict that it's going to take over the supplement industry. Here are some of the benefits we've been able to source out:
Enhanced Energy - The steady enhancement of both physical and mental energy Maca an ideal supplement for students, professionals, writers, athletes, and anybody else who needs a lift. The Peruvians have used it for centuries as a general energy tonic. The fact that Maca contains no stimulants, but obtains its benefits from vitamins and minerals, make it especially beneficial for individuals who suffer from chronic fatigue syndrome and fibromyalgia. Many people who use Maca also report increased mental clarity.
Increased Sexual Desire (Libido) - Maca was well known in ancient times for enhancing sexual desire, increasing libido, vitality, stamina and sexual performance.
Hormone Balancing - Maca has also been shown to be effective in reducing mood swings associated with PMS and Menopause. The herb works through the hypothalamus and pituitary to help insure balanced and healthy hormone levels in the body. Maca helps promote sexual functioning and, in general, brings about all the benefits of healthy, balanced hormone levels in the body.
We think this is going to really take off once individuals realize that they can get natural energy without stimulants AND an increase in libido not to mention the many other benefits of this herb.

BONES HARDENER |
The following article was found on the internet in 2003 and is now featured as a Maca Talk archive in relation to the powers of maca root as a bone hardener.
"My life is back to normal again"...
Mrs. Helena Marchowska is 70 years old. She is a retired teacher of Polish language and literature. She has had serious problems with her health for years. Fortunately, they were contained in time.
“All thanks to maca” , she says. “If it hadn't been for maca most likely, I wouldn't be able to walk by now. However, thanks to this wonderful plant I have regained my strength and I do not fear the osteoporosis, so typical for my age group people. Since my lungs are much better as well than they used to be I look into the future with optimism. Now, I have on my mind only redecorating of my flat and holidays by the seaside. This is the best proof I am on the way to regain all my strength”.
How to live with it? It all started with sarcoidosis. This disease is quite rare and its cause is not fully recognised. At first, Helena was treated with antibiotics for the nephritis, next she went to hospital because of the lungs problems. She was x-rayed several times, but the final diagnosis could not be formulated. Physicians were not able to read anything from the x-ray photos. They said: “There is something in the lungs, but we cannot identify it for sure”. Not earlier than a few weeks later she heard the verdict: sarcoidosis, the woodcutters' disease. The condition that is characterised by the pulmonary fibrosis. It is the illness that causes breathing difficulties, which affects the whole system. It is usually treated with prednisone (encorton), however without any warranty that it would not recur. If it does, the prednisone (encorton) is to be administered again until the improvement is attained. If the disease relapses again, prednisone (encorton) is applied again and again. A kind of a vicious circle.
“The diagnosis was formulated in 1981 – over 20 years ago!” she tells us. “Since then, I've had six recurrences of the disease. It was extremely hard to live with it. Each time I was administered strong doses of prednisone (encorton). As you can imagine, it influenced my condition immensely”. Helena experienced growing bone aches again. The physician who was treating her sarcoidosis was not surprised at all. “This is what normally takes place during the prednisone (encorton) therapy”, she heard. “The bone system loses calcium rapidly, there is an onset of osteoporosis. The condition to the large extent irreversible.
You have to learn to live with it”. But how?
First of all, Helena felt more and more excruciating pain in her hands, legs, all the joints. She found moving around harder and harder. She noticed as well that because of the bending bones she lost six centimetres from her not very tall height. Second of all, she became absolutely terrified of breaking her bones. At the older age, this happens easily. One can trip, fall down. When a person suffers from osteoporosis it can cause very unpleasant outcomes.
And one day it happened – she slipped. Boom – and she found herself on the floor. Pain, awe, panic. The arm fractured in three places.
What now?! What is going to happen next?! “Fortunately, the bones grew together somehow”, she recalls. “However, I understood it was the last alarm bell. I knew that the next time I wasn't going to be so lucky. I simply got a fright that my bones would disintegrate one day and I was going to become a vegetable in a wheel chair or bed”.
Positive tendency:
She began her search everywhere. She was considering what to do. One day, in the bookshop, she came across the books Vilcacora, the Miracle Cancer Cure and Vilcacora Is a Gift from God. She found out from them that South American herbal preparations are very effective in curing sarcoidosis. She thought, “Maybe they are worth trying? Perhaps with the next recurrence of the illness I wouldn't have to take so much prednisone (encorton)?” It was the end of 1999. She got hold of the place in London that dealt in the South American herbal medicines and after an interview with their consultant she learned that first she should undergo the cleansing treatment, then she should take vilcacora or vilcacora with shark's cartilage for a few months. She equipped herself with good faith and patience. The intuition told her that it was what she was looking for, she eventually found the proper method.
She turned a deaf ear to all the sceptics and doubters' comments and remarks, even to those with scientific titles of professors. She was extremely determined. And after six months of taking the preparations from the Andes and the Amazon, she could not say whether it was illusion or her body really began to experience some positive changes, so she decided to go and visit the doctor. The physician examined her carefully and meticulously. “Your lungs seem to have slightly improved”, she heard. “Are you taking any new medications?” “No, I don't doctor”, she was afraid to admit she was. “However, I feel much better and stronger”. “Very good, very good”, the doctor was pleased. “Let's keep our fingers crossed and pray this tendency continues...” Bravo maca! She was very happy.
She decided to do all she could in order to make “this tendency continue”, since she knew that praying and keeping her fingers crossed alone would not suffice. She looked for a closest to her place representative of the Andean Medicine Centre and in the person of BogusBaw Heger she found an experienced consultant. She confided in him not only her troubles connected with sarcoidosis, but also with osteoporosis – the result of prednisone (encorton) therapy. The AMC representative had no doubts, “Definitely, besides vilcacora and shark's cartilage, you should also take maca”.
“Maca?” “Yes, maca. Not only does this herbal preparation inhibit osteoporosis, but it also eradicates it.” “Impossible!” “Absolutely possible, Helena! Possible, it has been proved a number of times!”
Just as consistently and with similar amount of faith and determination as she used to take vilcacora and shark's cartilage she began to use maca. The ache in her bones gradually elapsed, her movements became fitter. She also felt much stronger, healthier. Unexpectedly, a last, unintentional test has been inflicted on her. “I fell down to the ground again, absolutely flat. Even more violently and more painfully than the first time. However, this time, I couldn't believe it, nothing happened. I just got up from the floor and I was in one piece and healthy! With absolute astonishment I touched all over my bones. Of course it hurt as I bruised myself unmercifully, but my bones were intact. ‘Bravo maca' I thought to myself. ‘Bravo!'
In this way I checked once more and finally what had been proved numerous times before!”
“Today, I know that thanks to maca I can live and function normally”, she tells us vigorously. “I'm not afraid of osteoporosis – bones disintegration. I do not fear walking on slippery, iced pavement, nor stepping on the stool to hang up the washing on the line. I know that when I fall down nothing awful is going to happen.
Maca is guarding me. Maca means health! And power! I can go on repeating it over and over again!”
